The MPE Programmers's Forum gives you a chance to interact with HP lab engineers and your colleagues while receiving the most up-to-date technical information on issues relating to the MPE platform. This unique annual computing event will take place over the course of four days, with the first day devoted to your choice of two all day in-depth technical seminars.
IPROF '99 Session Schedule

New Technical Seminars
February 17th

This year, you will have the option to attend one of the following two seminars prior to the conference:

  • Posix Porting: A step-by-step class that will take you through the process of porting a real-world application to the HP 3000
  • MPE Bootcamp: A hands on primer to MPE Commands and IMAGE for those new to the HP 3000

Seminars will run from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Attendance at either seminar requires a separate registration fee. Space is limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis.

IPROF Conference
February 18th - 20th

Sessions will address the following topics:

  • Languages and Application Development Environments covering C, Cobol, Java, editing & testing, and more!
  • IA-64 Update
  • Web enabling Legacy Applications: Put new life into old programs!
  • E-commerce: What is it and what does it mean to you? How do you take advantage of the newest surge in commerce?

  • Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings and special sessions

Session Content
Interex members and HP work closely together to ensure that the MPE Programmers' Forum addresses those MPE-related topics and issues that are of the most value to programmers and developers on the HP 3000.

Registration
Interex's MPE Programmers' Forum registration is limited to a first-come-first-served basis in order to maintain the one-on-one interaction between attendees and HP personnel. Your IPROF registration includes continental breakfast and lunch for those days which you are registered to attend (Thursday through Saturday) and admission to the Thursday evening reception. Additionally, your seminar registratoin includes continental breakfast and lunch on Wednesday. In order to receive the Early Bird rate, your registration form must be postmarked by January 27, 1999.

Hotel Accommodations
Interex's 1999 MPE Programmers' Forum will be held at the Radisson Inn located at 1085 East El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, just a mile and a half from the Hewlett-Packard Cupertino Campus. For your convenience, we have reserved guest rooms at the Radisson Inn at a special rate of $140, single or double occupancy. This rate includes a complete buffet breakfast each morning. Please reserve your room before January 26, 1999 to insure rate and availability. After January 26, 1999, rooms are subject to availability. Please phone the hotel yourself to make your reservation and indicate that you are an IPROF '99 MPE Programmers' Forum attendee. Travel agencies will not receive commission for booking these reservations.
