The Legal Forum International Action Division

Mission Statement

The InternationalAction Division was established in order to implement the main objectives of the Legal Forum for Israel, to defend the interests of the State of Israel in the international arena. The International Action Division works pro-actively to combat the increased hostility towards the State of Israel, wherever it occurs.

The International Action Division is based on the Forum's successful domestic model, in which the activities of some 350 volunteer lawyers are coordinated by a small in-house professional staff.

Its objectives include:

1. Ongoing review of anti-Israel resolutions in international organizations as well as statements by international leaders and officials – with particular focus on statements that deny the rights of Israel and the Jews regarding Judea and Samaria.

2. Real-time drafting of necessary letters and documents, in the name of the Forum, for signature by Israeli and international lawyers. Such documents are sent to foreign leaders, heads and officials of international organizations, governments, parliaments and the media.

3. Representing the Legal Forum in conferences, seminars, panels, media interviews and other meetings, both locally and abroad.

4. Coordination with other local and international bodies, Jewish and non-Jewish NGOs, as well as relevant governmental bodies, in order to fight the de-legitimization of the State of Israel and denial of the Jewish legal and historic rights.

5. Meetings with visiting foreign officials, media representatives, diplomats and academics with a view to briefing them and correcting misperceptions about the legal rights of Israel and the Jewish people.
