INTEREX TO SUPPORT MEMBERS DURING HP e3000 TRANSITION
Sunnyvale, Calif., November 14, 2001 Interex today announced plans to support members as they implement changes resulting from Hewlett-Packard's decision to end support of HP e3000 product line on December 31, 2006.
Interex will develop new advocacy channels for members to communicate their needs, information streams to keep members informed of the latest developments, as well as new training programs and reference materials that cover the full range of migration options.
"Interex will continue to support the growing community of HP professionals and is committed to help its 3000 users during this process," said Interex Executive Director Ron Evans. "We understand our members' needs and are prepared to serve as a conduit between our members and HP."
"In fact, we will use the MPE System Improvement Ballot process a list of product enhancements that is prioritized through a voting process by the HP community to communicate enhancement requests and migration needs to HP. This ballot process will begin immediately."
In addition to serving its 3000-member user base, Interex remains the primary source of information, training and reference materials for HP IT professionals. Through its global presence, Interex continues to provide a powerful customer channel of communication back to HP and HP-compatible vendors through advocacy services, strategic worldwide surveys, and special forums at Interex conferences.
Interex Prepares Migration, Interoperability and Security Programs For HP e3000 Solutions Symposium and HP World 2002 Conference & Expo
The 2002 HP e3000 Solutions Symposium (April 3-6, 2002) and HP World 2002 Conference & Expo (September 23-27, 2002) will offer programs addressing migration strategies, tools, application roadmaps and first-hand case studies to enable a cost-effective, smooth transition to a new platform.
Both conferences continue to offer extensive e3000 training and education, including strategies and tools to ensure users continue to receive the highest level of return on investment in HP systems.
HP has announced that it will continue to provide customers with comprehensive HP e3000 support services until December 31, 2006. HP e3000 enhancements and sales will continue for 2 years until October 31, 2003.
