Membership Structure

Interex currently offers five levels of membership: Site Software and Training Membership (includes 2 free Site Basic Members), Value, Basic Plus, Basic and Subscribing.

New Members

Once your payment is received and processed, Interex will send you your new Member ID card and your first issue of HP World Magazine.

You will have access to online areas of the Interex website approximately 48 hours after your membership payment is processed.

Renewing Membership

To renew your Interex membership, you can complete the online renewal form or contact our membership department at 1-800-INTEREX x204 or outside the USA 408-747-0227 x204. Once your payment is processed we will send you a new Member ID card showing your extended membership date.

Change of Contact information

If you change companies, your contact information changes, or a new person at your company is assuming your membership, please complete the easy online update form. We will update your current information.

Site Basic Memberships

Two Site Basic memberships are included as a part of the Site Software and Training Membership at no additional cost. Additional Site Basic members can be added for an annual fee of $60. These members receive their own publications, member discounts and complete access to the Interex web site.

Annual Software Release

The annual releases of the Contributed Software Library (CSL) tapes (HP-UX, MPE & RTE) and HP-UX Sys Admin Utility Tapes are sent out in November each year. You must have an active Value or Site membership at that time to receive the annual release. The annual release is not sent with your New Member Package.

Missing HP World Magazine

HP World Magazine is published monthly. If you do not receive your publication, please contact our membership department so that we can verify your membership status and address. We will forward a copy of the issue you have missed.

Interex Enterprise Solutions

Due to the lack of sponsorship support and a soft economy, we have had to discontinue Interex Enterprise Solutions. Archived issues of Interex Enterprise Solutions are still available on the Interex web site for eligible members.

Duplicate Payments

If a duplicate membership payment is received, Interex will automatically extend the membership an additional year. Request for refunds must be made in writing to . Please include the member ID number, the amount to be refunded, and the address the check should be sent to in your email.

Canceling a Service

Refunds are not available for canceled services.  If you are no longer working in a job that would benefit from Interex membership, we suggest transferring it to another colleague at your site.

To transfer service, please complete our Membership Update form. Please be sure to include your current member ID number.

Site Software & Training and Site Basic members have complete web access to the Contributed Software Library. Value members have a choice of the MPE or HP-UX web access. Complete online access to the CSL can be added as an a la carte item for Basic and Value members.

Access to Member Protected Areas

Members of Interex have access to archived publications, conference proceedings, annual advocacy results and the contributed software library on the Interex web site.  Your membership package determines what information you can access.

To access member protected areas of the Interex web site, type in your Member ID number as your User Name and your last name in lower case letters as your Password.  Please note your membership number must be in a six (6) digit format.  If your ID number is less than six (6) digits precede it with the appropriate number of zeros.

Example for Joe Smith with Member ID 123
User Name:    000123
Password:       smith
